Yes, the P4T533 can take the 3Ghz+ chip with HT support - get the latest BIOS upgrade. Are you planning to buy this board or do you already have it and are upgrading the CPU?

I hope you read and tread water carefully with this board. I bought the board 2 days ago and now the board will not detect any AGP card. I mean zilch. I have tried 4 AGP cards and none will work. POST Reporter tells me no video card detected. I get no red led when I place the cards or when I'm running the system so I had to order a new one. Its coming in tomorrow. I hope this doesn't happen again. I have had plenty of ASUS' on the past, but if this one does not work, time to move to the SIS 648 Chipset with DDR.

You'll need Windows XP (Home or Professional Edition), assuming you have a windows operating system, to benefit from HT.

Disable HT if you have:
Microsoft Windows 2000 (all versions)
Microsoft Windows NT* 4.0
Microsoft Windows Me
Microsoft Windows 98
Microsoft Windows 98 SE

But in this case, not having windows xp, it would be better to go with a non-HT Pentium4 like the 2.66Ghz or 2.8Ghz Pentium4.
