A7N8X and sound cards

I recently overhauled my system and put in an A7N8X with integrated sound for the extra ports. However, I still want to use my SB Live since it's much easier to hook up my headphones to a live drive than it is to the back of a case when I want to either drown out my roomate's music (people who do not use the randomize option on playlists should be shot) or when he goes to sleep. Even with the onboard sound disabled in BIOS, every now and then the system starts up without recognizing the SB Live. Anyone have any idea what's up and how to resolve it?

Have the same board, I have on board disabled and using my Audigy. Make sure you disable the onboard midi ports and game port! See if that helps
