Exidy Crackshot "Audio Power Down" problem:

Can anyone give me help on this?

I suspect that it may be the 68B09E chip, as I have signals on the audio board at the LS42 chip at B C and D but not A.

It worked for fine about 2 weeks with a longer reset pulse at the 68B09 chip. Now the only sound I hear is the glass breaking sound on boot-up, except it's being played back at a very low pitch, and sounds more like an animal growling, along with an Audio Power Down error message .

Can it be something else besides the 68?

And can I buy a new chip?

If so, does it have to be encoded?
