They are not all C0 that is a incorrect. I went there the other day and got a D0. I told the guy what to look for (S-Spec: SLBEJ) and he brought one out and said there were a lot more of those than the C0s. I realize when you said that there may have been more C0s than D0s there, but they did have D0s. You were just unlucky.

I have bought about 6 from Microcenter and not a single one has been C0. Picked up a batch today, pack date 9-25, batch #3925A261. Two weeks ago was batch #3911A331.

Damn the fact that there isn't a microcenter within 100 miles of my home! They really need to start offering these deals with shipping!

D0 is the new revision. It uses less power and generates less heat, therefore you can oveclock it higher. That's one of the main reasons why everyone prefers the D0 over the C0/C1. Same thing with the Q6600. G0 is better than B3. For the Q9550 it's the E0 over the C1.

No, it doesnt say D0. What you want to look for is the SPEC: SLBEJ. If it says SLBCH, then it's not a D0.
But the guys at Mircocenter know their stuff, you can just say D0 and they know what to grab you.

Good job posting this link since it seems many didn't know about this. I'm kinda surprised this is news to people. The microcenter prices on CPUs have been getting posted for a couple months now, but the catch is they're for walk-in customers only. If you have a microcenter near you and you've never been to one, you should go their just to take a look around. Pretty good selection of stuff considering. They also have the following cpus

$200 i7 920
$149 i5 750 (had been $159 till just recently. Total steal for a budget system vs other retailers).

$199 Phenom II x4 955

The one here nearest to my home in LA is about a 30 min drive. I've picked up both an i7 920 from them along w/ other misc goodies. I later decided on p55 instead of x58 and had to exchange the i7 920 for an i7 860. So long as the cpu is sealed w/ the factory packaging, they'll take it back np and there was no restocking fee.

The sale prices at microcenter are pretty good (they have good deals on Linksys wireless routers lately), but the regular prices on their stuff is no better than Mwave/Newegg/Zipzoomfly/etc; you just save on shipping. They also have the biggest selection of CPU heatsinks you'll ever see in a brick-and-mortar store including stuff like the Corsair h50, TRUE, Noctua, Zalmann etc. It's even bigger than Fry's, and they have a watercooling section w/ Swiftech/Danger Den/etc.

Edit- For those who care about OCing and really want the newer bins, I should also mention the i7 920 I got originally was a D0 stepping.
