I have two XP os on my startup and I want to get rid of the one that does not work. How do I do that so when I turn on the computer, it goes straight to the desktop without any hassle of entering??

Are they on the same drive or partition?

If they are on seperate partitions you should be able to reformat the non-working OS partition from the working OS in disk management. You may also need to edit the boot.ini file. Here's some info on that:

Hit the windows and pause break keys on your keyboard to bring up the system properties window. Then go to the advanced tab, and then startup and recovery settings. Now you can do one of two things. First, you can uncheck the "Time to display a list of operating systems" or set it to zero. Second you can edit the boot.ini file by clicking edit and removing the second operating system. I suggest that you just do the first thing.
