Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.newusers (More info?)

am new to xp sp1 on a sony viro pcv-rs620g.  i went to tclockex site and did  
a download of the program to install.  when done i tried to intall and get  
following msg.
Help cannot open the file: mk@msitstore:c:\documents and settings\all  
uses\documents\tclockex.exe.chm.
I tried to rename tclockex.exe.chm to just tclockex.exe but can not remove  
the extension chm.
what is the issues that i am not aware of and how do i correct this issue.  
have not been able to download and install any programs.
