First off thanks for all the help in this forum, THG kicks ass. Second I will be installing my new system this weekend and would like to know about any setting that would be a good idea before I get to deep with the OS.

A7N8X Deluxe w/XP1800+
256MB Corsair XMS PC3200C
Volcano 9 fan with Arctic Sliver II Compound (heavy sucker- I weighed it at 514g.)
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro
400W PSU

Anything special I should do here first? Once I cover the bases I would like to see some overclocking after a few weeks or so too.
Thanks Again!

make sure you keep an eye on the temperature as my board has a faulty temperature gauge on it, as do many others. Don't be suprised to see your temp jump around, but as long as you have PROPERLY mounted your heatsink and it's not hot to the touch, you should be alright.
