How much are you trying to sell the system for?

Have you also tried posting on craigslist?

------------------------------ 6000-X2, 8gb ddr2-6400, 2x 150gb raptor x, 512mb HD3870, 550w
corsair modular psu, gigabyte aurora3d (way too huge for my mobo! )

Quasi-Budget build

Does craiglist work well? last time i used it was to sell my laptop but there were too much nigerian scammers

I doubt you will be able to recoup $1000 out of the $1100 you spent. I typically discount used PC parts a minimum of 25%. $800 would be a more reasonable price.

I am not selling parts , i am selling the computer as a whole and all parts are brand new

Regardless, the PC is considered USED and you need to price it as such.

One thing you have to understand about toms for sale section is that, most of the people looking on here can build the same system by going to newegg and ordering the parts. Not that for a newbie, $1000 isn't a good price if it is all new parts that you put in your listing and built correctly. However, I build custom computers and right now things are so bad that I would not plan on moving to many custom computers. I have used craigslist and yes there are alot of spammers, however I have got many clients from my adds on there. Things are just really slow right now. I do not believe you will find anyone on here that will give you $1000 for your build. I have the same case but I modded mine, with the Phenom II 940 at 3.6ghz stable with water cooling. Good luck with your sale.

You might also want to be thorough in your listing, as the people who frequent this place will know what every part you mention is worth, and you've left out a few key pieces of information. Namely, the motherboard type and manufacturer, as well as the manufacturer of your PSU. Sure, it's a 1000w unit, but it could be an off-brand and not really anything more than a few zeros tacked onto a crappy unit. Just trying to help you sell.
