I have the latest wmp (9?) on my work computer... an older
model XP with the service pack installed and I've discovered
how to store specific tracks in specific files on my
computer.

But, I have problems...

1.  Playback skips sounds (this isn't music, it's spoken)
and the sound is generally worse sound quality the further
it goes into the track.  I followed the directions to
improve sound quality and it didn't work very well, I'll
give it another try tomorrow - but I wasn't satisfied with
the playback today.  Any suggestions?

2. On my Win98 at home, I use the Adaptec Easy CD Creator
which is fast and produce clear sound, but I haven't figured
out how to store a single track in a single file on my
computer with it.

Does anyone know of a <free> CD creator/copier that copies
quickly with good sound quality and would allow me to store
single tracks EASILY in single files on my computer?

TIA
:)
