Dark Age of Camelot Radeon9700pro problems

I have some big problems playing Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC), and Shrouded Isles (SI) on my current setup. My Radeon9700 pro seems to be the culprit. Wtihin about 6-7 minutes the game crashes - guaranteed. This has manifested in PC resets, dropping out to windows, big messy gfx 'snow', and even losing the picture signal whilst still being able to hear sound, move around and continue playing!

I've tried many different ati Catalyst drivers (from 2.4 upwards), and also tried some Omega Radeon drivers. I don't have the problem with a GForce32mb, but of course, it doesn't look half as sweet!
