I just bought a netgear router for my cable connection. Now that I have a hardware firewall on my broadband connection can I get rid of my Norton software firewall?

I did .. seems to work just fine .. I suggest you also get and install routerlog and mynetwatchman .. these two work together with your router to intercept the intrusion log from your router, parse it, upload it to mynetwatchman which in turn notifies the offending isp of the attacks.. they then notify the infected system or take stronger measures to stop them
