More Information

Dear all,

I have just recently started to bump my graphics settings up on BF2 through the Nvidia control panel. (Not Ntune which is evil to my computer.)

I chose to overide game settings and have the GPU's do the Anisotropic filtering x 8, 12 or whatever, the AA to 8x, 16x or 16x sli etc and the AA filtering to either multisampling or 'supersampling'.

First, it slows down the game and I don't really care for that.

Second, and the basis of this thread, The grass textures and leaves appear to be more blotchy and less realistic when I have all the settings on high, rather than just letting the game do its own AA work at 8x.

What gives?  Shouldn't the grass and leaves look better? Is there some magic combo I should use?  I really don't care, it is not the latest and greatest, but I don't really care, I just wanted to see if anyone has a thought as to what is going on?

Thanks much,
