I'm looking for some sort of spyware or whatever that can do (most) of the following.

1. Saves all conversations from MSN messenger and AIM messenger.
2. Stores conversations for later retreval.
3. Operates stealthly, hidden from basic users, only advanced users would even have any idea it was running.
4. Is somehow password protected for access and shutting down.
5. Starts for all users including admin (which i have access to) under windows 2000pro any time the computer is turned on.
6. Possibly the ability to send or email the conversations somehow.
7. Records all incoming and outgoing messages!

Does anything like this exist and if so could someone send me a like to some more info!

Thanks!

Yes stuff like this exists, but no you're not going to find it here.

If you want to be able to do this stuff for yourself then I would suggest learning some visual basic scripting and maybe some C++. Please be aware that the piece of software you are describing is a trojan horse and government law enforcement types typically frown upon that sort of thing. On the other hand, if you're good enough at writing them they may want to hire you.

This is the type of thing that has no uses other than malicious ones. It's usually HIGHLY illegal without the user's consents. Especially in a business/corporate environment.

I would suggest you re-evaluate your intentions here, as you could be heading for serious trouble otherwise.

Gees. I didn't realize it was illegal to monitor what was going on with my home computers. I didn't have any idea that it was against the law to monitor your children’s actions. So if they get drugged up and burn down a building, I’m going to pay for it because I’m the "responsible" parent, however, if I try to be proactive and stop them before this happens, I’m breaking the law? God bless America! It doesn't have to be malicious; but when I’m at work and my teenage kids are home, it would be nice to see just how deep they are into online dating etc, which can prove to be a decent experience or a fatal one!

Thanks for your responses; I had thought these types of programs were all over, I guess I’ll have to do some more online research.

Google "pc activity logger" and similar phrases. I did a search for a client last month.

Here's an example of a proggie that will do what you ask http://www.exploreanywhere.com/computer-activity-monitoring.htm

Simply installing the Plus for MSN Messenger gives you the ability to log conversations. No one can tell it's being done unless they go into the options and see that it's being done or if they find the text files stored on the drive.
