Hi,
Very strange occurance on my HP Pavilion desktop a230n. Suddenly usage
of memory goes up to 500MB and sometimes even 900MB, but I am not
doing anything else than browsing through files on HDD (c. It
happens only when browsing through large photoshop files (1-2GB), but
not opening or previewing them or so, just using Windows Explorer to
read their size, select, or just opening the folder. No execution or
copying of files. Normaly memory usage stays around 180MB in Windows
Task Manager, but when more than 500MB, it becomes very slow and not
usable.
System is following 2800+ AMD athlon 2.03Ghz, Windows XP, 512MB RAM,
DVD+RW, 120MB HDD.
Any suggestion why is this happening and how to solve it? I've tried
disk check and defragment. Didn't change a thing.
