Bally Freedom EM Pinball Start-up Problem - PLEASE HELP!

Hello All.
I am a newbie (both on this site & as a pinball owner). Having a few issues with my Freedom machine.
Main problem is starting a new game - when game is over, TILT lights up (sometimes solid, sometimes only when flipper buttons pressed) & Tilt Relay buzzs. On very rare occasion this does not happen or I can shut power off then back on & I'm good to go - but 99% of the time I have to go underneath playfield and manually screw with the relays. Usually just the Credit Relay does the trick, but sometimes the Delay Relay and/or Lock Relay also.
Also - Ball in Play, Game Over, and Match # lights almost never work - when they do it's just for a ball (two at most) or at the end of one game but not the next 20 or 120 games.
The lights problem has been ever since I got the machine a few months back, the restarting problem just began happening recently.
