I'll take the RAM.

Each stick is 2GB of DDR2 right? (total of 6GB)
I'll take all three. :D

How much for 1 or 2 256 DDR2 desktops?

That was a steal on the DDR2-800 2GB sticks for $10 each. You're lucky I didn't see them first.

^ yep =)

itadakimasu was selling 320GB 16mb HDDs for 35 a few weeks back. Just wait till he has more great deals on sale. XD

Reply to Bluescreendeath

Q6700 Was great; thanx.

Reply to thesith32

Got the RAM today, thanks dude!

btw, mixing and matchin the two different corsair RAM types is ok right?

I'm not sure what their latencies are so it probably wouldn't be too detrimental on RAM performance...?

Reply to Bluescreendeath

they are all 2048@6400.

The system they were in was using 1 of the xms and the other gaming type. When i posted them on here i was thinking all 3 were the xms.

i don't think mixing is a big deal as long as they're the same speeds, although it's probably best to have pairs.

Glad they got there ok, I got a little worried about the unit # being missing.

Btw, itadakimasu, are you selling that 4870 graphics card or any other GPUs?

Reply to Bluescreendeath

somebody in another thread pointed out that newegg has the HIS 1gb 4670 for $59.99. it's 74.99 and it has a $15 off coupon code w\ the listing. shipping came up free.... I was going to buy one out of compulsion but stopped myself!

great card for lots of systems though, it doesn't require dedicated power.

Damn a gig thats awesome. i just saw it and it has an HDMI port too. you can build an awesome comp that runs new games for under 350. when these parts go so cheap you wanna build a few rigs for no reason

whats the performance difference between the gigabyte p31 and the gigabyte p45? I was looking to buy the p45 on new egg for my new build, but might be interested in taking advantage of this deal.

Basically the P45 has FSB speed 1600/1366 and supports memory DDR2 1366+/1066. The P31 has FSB speed 1333/1066 and supports memory DDR2800.

This may not be exact for all boards, but will give you an idea of the performance difference.

Reply to ibleet

The gigabyte board is no longer available. it only has 2 ram slots and takes ddr2-1066. I have 2 2gb sticks of ddr2-800 running @ 900 and the 6750 @ 3ghz.

Side note : WOW...

Bluescreen : I didn't notice until last week that DDR2 prices have skyrocketed !!! I can't believe I sold all that ram for $30 !!!! I can't find a 4gb 6400 set for under $50-55 now !!!

I know right, and it pisses me off. I still need a 4Gb kit and they're sky high for some reason! The exact same Gskill 4Gb kit I bought last month for $45 is now $70. :sarcastic: WTF?

Reply to ibleet

I looked again, and the cheapest 2x2gb kit on newegg is $65 !

got so used to the dirt cheap prices of ddr2 and assumed it'd stay like that forever.

This probably belongs in the craigslist deals thread but seemed salient here... I found a guy on CL who sold me 17.5 GB of DDR2 for $100 about two months ago. sounds like it was a steal now... OCZ gold, crucial ballistix, A-data, each PC6400 2GB kits. the rest were more basic 667 and 800 1GB and 2GB sticks.

lol yeh. thxs ;)

I remember Newegg having 4GB of XMS2 Corsair RAM for $40, but now the prices have skyrocketed. I hope it doesn't end up getting more expensive as time passes like some old antique desk... >_<

Reply to Bluescreendeath

I have a Super Micro Computer X7DVL-i Dual 771 mobo with 6GB of fully buffered ddr2-5300 ram ( 6x1gb kingston )

Looking for $80 shipped.

Reply to itadakimasu

oooh...
That dual socket is so tempting...

And why the hell has DDR2 prices doubled?
My bros comp only has 2GB, so I was going to put it to 4GB... but now it's damned expensive... I remember seeing some 4GB sets on newegg for $35...

Would you happen to have a fat Playstation 2 layin around?

Reply to thesith32

that's kinda random....

But it's funny because I do. I have one w\ flip top and swap magic disks.
I think I have one controller for it and a "monster" brand cable for it.

Reply to itadakimasu

Hmm you selling it? and do you have a spare HDD 160gb+

Reply to thesith32

how about $50 shipped? Will include the ps2 system + component cable + 1 controller + swap magic discs (cd and dvd) and i'll throw in a couple cd r games if they're in the same box as the ps2.
