Help please-half processor speed

I have installed a Asus CUV 4X Motherboard with a Pentium 3 766 Processor. It has 256mb of 133 ram.It is recognised (Jumperless) as half its speed around 386. I have tried my 800 in the board and it recognises it as 400. When using manual setup will only boot if set as half speed. Any advice gratefully received.

Maybe you need a more powerful CPU cooler. Buy the T-Birds ones.

Well, it is a shitty board, but your problem is that it's defaulting the CPU to 66MHz bus. If it's set up for jumperless mode, go into bios and change the CPU/RAM/PCI ratio to 133/133/33
