I read this also. Very good article.

Sure is a good read. I'll have to take it more into account in the future. I've always know enough about it to buy a quality case & PSU such as the Antec 1080AMG I'm running now. But being lucky isn't always as good as being smart!

Signature, I'm still learning & having fun doing it!!!!!!

I went back and read through PS I've purchased from newegg. Looks like Enermax is the champ.

It's good to know.
Thanks a lot

yea, i build with enermax all the time, even their base 300 watt is rock solid. voltages barly waiver. my 431 enermax runs my computer with 3 hard drives, 3 optical drives, bunch of cards, over volted cpu, and 5 high speed scsi drives. i can power down the scsi drives and power them back up and the enermax doesnt even blink.

my computer is so fast, it completes an endless loop in less than 4 seconds!

Enermax is awesome! I have an EG465P-VE (435 Watts) and it doesn't even blink no matter what I throw at it.

My system and CPU temps dropped when I upgraded to this PSU from a 350W Antec.

they dont make a 435 watt psu. and i find it very hard to believe that your cpu temp went down just by replacing the psu. maybe it could because of the better fan design on them was giving you better air flow.

Yes, it's 431W, it was a typo.

Why are you questioning the fact that my temps dropped? Enermax PSU's have great airflow and cooling fans, which is one reason they're so good. You yourself mentioned this fact, so why would you question it?

if the only thing you changed was the psu, the only thing that could have affected the cpu temp is air flow. the fans on those psus dont run fast at all. if you saw any difference your case must have been near stagnant.

My previous PSU had a single fan on the back of it. The Enermax has a fan on the back AND on the underside. My airflow was not stagnant before, it is just somewhat better now. My temps only went down by a couple of degrees, nothing major. But that's still a nice benefit of the Enermax, in addition to great power.

Why do you care, anyway? Do you just cruise these boards loking for things you can question?

OK, your "tone" just seemed a little accusatory. I couldn't figure out why.

Take it easy.

Peace.
