I am interested in getting a verizon cell phone. This would be my first cell
phone so could someone either give me a link that kinda would help me pick
out the right phone? My friend has a LG..something... and he loves it. I
would love to be able to take pictures using the cell phone. How do those
pictures look though? Are they good or just real blotchy? Thanks for the
help..

If you're 18 or over, be prepared for a credit check and maybe a deposit.
If your friend has an LG camera phone, it's most likely an LG 6000.
Nice phone, but don't know about picture quality. I don't have a need
for a camera phone.

I have the LG6000 and overall it's a solid phone.
The picture quality isn't that great but it's fine for what I do and
the phone offers different resolutions which helps a little. I use the
Calendar more than the camera and have dropped Pix messaging from my
plan.

Whatever phone you decide to get be sure to get Bitpim and a cable for
it rather than paying Verizon to email pictures back and forth. If you
don't have a $5.00 plan they will charge you $.25 a picture to send
them. You can transfer them to a PC with Bitpim and a cable. That's
the way to go.

If you want more information search google groups for Bitpim. This has
been covered extensively here.

Good site for phone information is www.phonescoop.com

I have the LG vx6000. It is a pretty good phone. Pictures are ok, but
nothing to brag about. The scheduler on it is a great thing to have. I
stopped carrying my day planner and/or pda all the time with the
phone.
