HP zt3050ea - PB with Sony DVD+ RW DW-P50A

Hi,
I bought a HP laptop a while ago (zt3050ea) with the DW-P50A DVD+RW on
it. I' ve read in various forums about problems with writing on
DVD+RW discs. Personally I have problem with the DVD+R mode as well.
It burns the discs with no errors and then it cannot read them. I
have tried with many brands and at various speeds. The discs are
readable from other drives but not mine...This is really weird. I
dind' t give 2200 euros for this....Any ideas to start with??
