will a bios flash do or will i need a new board

im looking to upgrade my chip and motherboard soon the chip will be a barton and im thinking msi kt400 ultra. my question is will the barton drop in and post with to days board with a bios flash or will i need a new board?

No KT400 mobo will be able to support Barton if it comes with 400 MHz FSB (that is very possible). Buy a nForce board that has 1/6 PCI bus divider. Recommended mobo- ASUS A7N8X
