Hey all,
I'm trying to hand off a few of my parts, including the following:

AMD Phenom II X4 940 (AM2+ socket): $150+shipping
AMD Phenom II Stock HSF: $5+shipping
Xigmatek HDT-S1283 (I want to try water-cooling): $25+shipping
G.SKILL 2x2GB DDR2 1066 $60+shipping
GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P $85+shipping
XFX Radeon HD 4870 1GB(my unit has the standard full-length cooler, not the egg-shaped one shown on the Newegg product page) $120

I've had the Phenom II and its HSF for about two months, the last one and a half of which I've been using the Xigmatek for cooling (hence the AMD stock HSF was only used for about half a month). Everything's in good condition and works fine. I've been running the Phenom II at stock for the past five or six weeks, before which (when I was benching) it was running at 3.4 GHz at stock voltage (Prime95 stable). The RAM and motherboard are in great condition and run fine. The 4870 is great (although a bit loud at times) and runs reliably at 826/951 clocks without going over 75C in my HAF 932 (I play all my games at those settings without issue, and the card is FurMark stable at 855/1100).

Anyway, if you'd like any of the aforementioned items, email me at d0n7bl1nk at gmail dot com, respond to this post, or PM me. Prices are negotiable, to a certain extent, so tell me what you're willing to pay, and we can haggle.

(Question: Is the CPU AM3 thats AM2+ backward compatible, or is it just AM2+?)

Would you consider a cheap bundle offer if I went for the CPU/MoB/GPU combo? If so, give me a price you would like to see.

The Phenom II X4 940 is an AM2+ only CPU. It won't work in an AM3 board, or with DDR3 RAM. AM2+ mobos and DDR2 RAM only.

As for the bundle deal, I'll send you a PM.

I haven't heard back yet from the OP, I am still interested in the CPU.

Why would you still be interested in this CPU??? You can buy it new from newegg, for $135 with free shipping.

I can't believe I just bought this CPU less than a year ago and I payed like $190 or something.. but when I bought the ram back then, it was dirt cheap. All of a sudden it shot up.

i am still interested because even though its $127 on Newegg, im trying to either get it for ~$100 or trade someone my current athlon II x2 4200+ with cash to get it for less... but yes $150 is insane...
