I have an extended warranty on my computer so that if the motherboard crashes (and not fixable), the computer will be replaced with a better model for the same price that i originally paid. My computer is two and a half years old...obvioulsy its extremely outdated and i need an upgrade. I cant break a seal on the back of the computer because that will terminate the warranty - thus, the damage must be done from the inside (via virus). So i ask if anyone knows what i can do to damage my motherboard so it wont be able to start up and work at all, even when they try to fix it. Thanks in advance

Firstly, you are a cheating bastage! With that said, I'm sure you could damage it but the damage would most likely be obvious, such as overloading voltages. Plus, you will likely damage other components trying such a thing. You could always attempt steaming the label off and reapplying but it may also be obvious. If all else fails, here's a page describing exactly how to beat this sort of thing. This guy changed his video card without removing the label...

What about using a CIH virus or what ever it's called, it kills the BIOS. But that is NOT enough, you need something that will overvolt you entire system and therefor killing all the components!
