Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.newusers (More info?)

Anytime that I try to save a picture off of the internet, the only file  
options I get are *.art or *.bmp.  I want to save as *.jpg, but it won't let  
me.  Can anyone tell me how to fix this?  thank you so much if you can help

Try clearing the Temporary Internet Folder folder out.  Open Internet  
Explorer and go to Tools>Internet Options and click on 'Delete Files...'.  
Try saving the files again.
