PDC: Microsoft's Greg Sullivan on XML, information systems, Google

Toward the end of Microsoft's Professional Developers' Conference here on Thursday, we sat down with the company's group product manager for Windows, Greg Sullivan, to chat about the emergence of a "big picture" vision of Windows appearing and working everywhere, not just on PCs, but on handheld devices, the back ends of digital cameras, and the ice makers on refrigerators. Connecting all these seemingly unrelated devices is a standards-driven contextual information sharing system that Microsoft - and perhaps only Microsoft - is developing. Read more

Best Graphics Cards For The Money: June '09

This month, ATI's new Radeon HD 4770 is missing in action, since online stores are not only unable to keep it in stock, but also de-listing it completely. With violent movements in pricing, though, it'd have been taken off the recommended list anyway. Read more

Question I would have liked to have seen answered:

"Do you think the XBox 360's tendency to melt itself into a brick will limit interest in the console?"

Hey Rob, I like the articles about Quake Wars. It is by far my new favorite game. Thought I'd share that since it seems there is so little interest in it on this here forum.

I'm sorry. then again I have been an id-fanboy from the day that I played Keen 1, and wolf 3d.

Then again I can only play so many pc games from a money and time standpoint so I tend to limit my self to various developers .

FPS - id software, valve (HL 1 & 2, TF2-sucked)(farcry was fun until the patched it)
RTS - Ensemble studios (AOE,AOM) and Big Huge games (Rise of nations)
RPG - besthesda (oblivion) and Fallout 2
Stealth - Hitman

As for Quake wars it a fun game to play both on and off line. I am not very good at shooting so I play support roles like engineers and medics.
