I'm interested in building a dual system with the celeron
1.30ghz processors. What are some of the better motherboards out there to
do this with?

Cheers,
J

Thanks for your reply. I'm curious though as to why it can't it be done? Supposedly it could be done with earlier Celeron's. Is there not a similiar situation for the ghz. Celeron's?

On a side not, why I'm I third class?

Cheers,
J

Yo T,

You are not 3rd class, that is Crashman's "Signature". If you edit your profile you can add something cute like that to the end of your posts too.

My question to you is: what do you want a "Dual Processor" system for? & why with the worst processor still made?

Peace Out...............tile2

Why do you want to believe me?

You're thinking of VERY EARLY Celerons, as in the old "Mendicino" core versions, up to 533MHz max. Then came Coppermines, which were 533MHz-1.1GHz, and finally Tualatins from 1.0GHz to 1.4GHz. Neither Coppermines nor Tualatins had that capability.

If you must have dual for a cheap price the only option is a low end athlon MP. Or a couple of durons will also work. Providing they are the right core revision but of they are not you can easily unlock them into MP mode. (quite funny to see Duron MP in WCPUID) As the others said you cant go dual for those celerons. You might also consider a dual P3 system. But you can get a couple of athlon MP 1600 or 1800 CPU`s for a fairly cheap price. Not sure on the P3. Though proberly pretty similar
