I just got mine in the mail (thanks newegg.com). And I want to know what do I need to get the best performence out of it. I currently have:

1.4ghz Athlon (266)
512 PC2100 DDR (2x256)

Do I need to upgrade my ram to PC3200 and an Athlon 2800+ to really see an increase in performence over my current A7266 mobo?

This thread is good.  The memory is addressed here.  As for the CPU you can spend as much as you want.  You would see a bump in speed with the XP2400+ and it is more affordable.  The 2600+ is the first chip to use the 333 MHz fsb.  A bigger jump in the price for this one.  It really depends on how much you would want to spend.  I have some 1.2 GHz Athlon systems I built at work.  I have a XP 2700+ at home.  There is a huge difference in speed.  Once again I think it depends on how much you want to spend and what you do with your computer.

If you're too lazy to goto that thread, read this:

You'll most likely want to get the XP2600+ as it's way more cheaper compared to the 2800+ and retains that 166Mhz FSB.

As for the RAM, you'll want to go for Cosair XMS3500 or OCZ's PC3500. Don't rely on the PC3200 to get them running at DDR400, but they'll be happy to run at DDR333 at agressive setting though. The two PC3500 I've recommended are garranteed to run at DDR400 and over at agressive settings.
