Hi - don't know if this makes sense to anyone. just upgraded to XP SP2,
am trying to install device driver for iRiver iFp380 flash player. I
downloaded new ones from iRiver, plugged in the device, went through the
dialog - pointed it to the right driver - it copied it to
windows/system32/drivers, then failed saing that it was unable to find
the file. I find this quite confusing.

can anyone help?
/thanks

Search your harddrive for that file, it may have changed the name or extension.
Or it may not have copied/installed at all.

Solution, weird as it seems, was to uninstall, and then re-install other
unrelated USB drivers, then the IRiver driver installed. Perhaps the
previous installation of the other USB driver corrrupted something?

(just uninstalling the other driver was NOT sufficient)
