More Information

Hi folks, i recently switched from an A7V8X w/SATA to an A7N8X Deluxe mobo and now cannot get my system to launch from my Adaptec 1200a RAID controller. The system and drive config is EXACTLY the same as in my old system (disabled all boot drives / enabled OTHER boot device) and it says it can't find the boot drive. My config is as follows:

Onboard SATA disabled

- 2 x WDC800JBs configured as striped RAID on the 1200A, each set to Master on its own cable. the RAID comes up fine in the 1200a BIOS.
- WDC 20 gig drive set to Master on Secondary onboard ATA
- TDK VeloCD set as Master on Primary ATA

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i already gave my A7V8X to my brother:-)!

It is the onboard raid probably interfering. Get the latest bios and see if that helps. Let us know if that works. A lot of people are running into this issue.

The solution may be obvious, but I can't see it for the smoke coming off my processor.
