More Information

Anyone shed some truth on an apparent performance boost BIOD update available for the Gigabyte GA-8IEXP MoBo. I cant find it on the Gigabyte website? Does this update let you utilise the pc2700 RAM?

I purchased the mentioned Mobo and am almost ready to build it. Have brought 512Mb PC2700 Ram from Crucial, 2.4b CPU and just need my Graphics card which will probably be a Ti4200 (MSI)?

Any thoughts?

The GA-8IEXP is based on the i845e chipsets which does not support PC2700 RAM. So your Crucial RAM will only works at PC2100.
