I read a post t howardforums.com and it stated that new prepaid rates
were going to be launched on June 10th. The rates were something like
25 cents to connect and 10 cents per minute -- it being a flat rate
(daytime/night/weekend/IN-Network). That is pretty cheap for longer
calls.
Anyways, the poster also said that this calling rate has been in effect
for customers in some southern markets for some time now. If anyone has
any experience with this new calling plan, how does it effect the
"minute meter" that alerts you to how many minutes you have before each
outgoing call? Does it still work the same? Have you noticed a fair
amount of change in your balance as far as savings? Did they send you
literature as far as the new pricing, or send you a text message
alerting you to the changes?
What does everyone else think of the coming soon rates for Verizon
Prepaid? I think it definately makes VZW more competitive in the
prepaid market -- the pricing structure is slightly similar to Virgin
Mobile's, but even cheaper than them.
