Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.newusers (More info?)

I have been trawling the WNG* (is that right???) trying to figure out what  
everything means, while looking for info on downloading and installing SP2. I  
don't think I have the answer I need to my original post on "backup" (10 or  
11 Oct) (still don't know whether I should or should not). Sorry I'll get to  
this point. I found one of your posts which I thought was under a query "xp  
help" sometime in September but now I can't find it again. You had posted a  
whole long spiel on keeping computer maintained with lots of websites to  
visit regarding spyware, firewalls, etc etc. I read through the WHOLE thing  
(though you suggested many wouldn't) and then got sidetracked. Then I  
couldn't find the thread again - can you help me find it?
 
*Sorry if I got the abbreviation wrong - I'm new to this (I've worked out  
some eg IMO - in my opinion - but couldn't remember the abbreviation for  
Windows newsgroups. I'm a typist and sometimes the whole thing is easier but  
makes for wordy posts
