I have heard that certain Soyo MBs allow you to configure the onboard ide raid channels to be used as standard ide drive channels. Anyone have on hands knowledge if this is true. Thank You.

Most mobos offer users with a choice of configuring their onboard raid controller to function as either raid or extra IDE channels. Look up the Soyo web site which should give you more info on that.
