Given that a lot of old titles are making their way this year (i.e. Duke Nukem, StarCraft , Fallout, etc.), I'm curious as to what titles you guys would love to make a comeback.

I could only fit 10 titles (I had a list of 20) but I think these titles represent hours of entertainment if you got a chance to play their previous versions.

warcraft 4 would be a good choice too. Frozen throne was great.

Funny you guys mentioned a lot of titles I had in mind such as KOTOR 3, Oblivion 2, Baldur's Gate, etc. I would have included the Blood series as well and many more games.

The thread only allowed 10 options and I had to cut down on the list.

And yes, I ment Battletoads...oops.

I'd like to see a Mechwarrior 5, KOTOR 3, and Elder Scrolls 5

KOTOR 3 needs to happen.

Of the ones in your list... Decent Freespace, Diablo 3, and Deus Ex 3.

Diablo 3 would be a must. It will happen though. I'm sure Blizzard is already working on it, but they are more focused on Starcraft 2 now.

Decent Freespace would be good, but Freelancer 2 would be better IMHO.

Deus Ex 3... well that depends. Who is making it? Will it take more queues from Deus Ex 1 or from Deus Ex 2? A second **** sequel would permanently bury the franchise whereas a good sequel would ressurect it. I'm kind of torn on that one.

Diablo III would be nice but I wonder how in the world they would be able to pull it off thou...given that Hellgate London miserably failed to deliver to its expectations.

They would pull it off by doing what Blizzard always does. Release the game when it is ready, refined, and polished.

Hellgate London was rushed and shoddy. It also had an off putting opportunistic fee based model that was unwarranted.

I would also add Alien vs Predator 3 to the list. It could be identical to Alien vs Predator 2 but with new graphics.

Neverwinter Nights 3! It should be more like NWN 1 than NWN 2, though.

System Shock 3 would be great too.

Actually, nearly everything on my list is probably going to be released in one form or another. Mech games might come in the form of Crysis Mech mod, Dragon Age is supposed to be similar to Baldur's Gate 3, Diablo 3 and Elder Scrolls 5 are inevitable. Then there are two new games about aliens already in development and Dead Space could be a bit like System Shock. 8)

On that list Thief, but the news is Thief 4 is in development already in Eidos Canada. I love all the Thief games and I would to see another one.

Wing Commander would also be on my wish list with proper old school FMV not crappy CGI cut scenes.

Why the hell KOTOR 3 hasn't already been released is beyond me, I can't believe is due to a lack of interest from fans.

I would add Soldier of Fortune to the list if it was being developed by Raven or a developer that would make it feel and play like Soldier of Fortune 2.

The latest Value title Soldier of Fortune: Payback was a complete joke, one of the worse console ports ever, not even the console version is worth $4.99 .

Hmmm ... most of the games mentioned I have not played before. Maybe I am that old school eh?

Lemmings is the one that help that brainless beings so that they won't die right? I think PC games should have more puzzles. Rather than testing the reflex skill all the time with nice graphics.

How about Eye of the Beholder series? I still like the simplistic interface that focus more on puzzles than the positioning of characters and having to multi-task micro-manage all the NPCs (like NWN 2).

I always thought that Loadrunner is a darn good game too.

Eye of the Beholder was great, especially EoB 2, but modern audience wouldn't probably like it too much. I hope there will be NWN 3 or an MMORPG that has many elements from NWN 1 some day. Baldur's Gate 3 could be great too but I suspect it will never be made. It would probably need to continue the same storyline that was in BG1 and BG2 and too much time has passed since the release of those games.
