Hi, I have a p4 2.4 ghz processor and an ECS P4S5A Motherboard. The problem is when I start up the computer the BIOS reads the processor speed as 1.8 ghz. Because of this my games read the speed as 1.8 as well. I've been to Intel and it says that if the comp doesn't read the speed correctly, the speed will be downgraded. I know it's just a .6 difference but I really need that. I can't upgrade my BIOS because the damn upgrade software from ECS causes errors in my WIN XP Home. Does anyone out there have the same problem as I do? I really need some help! Thank you

I can't find the FBS (it's front side bus right?) in BIOS. I did find a DRAM speed thingy but it doesn't work!

Its under "CPU PnP setup" section. I posted in your thread in CPU section also.

Crap, all the good ones are already taken.
