I may have screwed the pooch on this MB, but what I did was inadvertently leave the cmos clear jumper on "clear" position and start the machine up. It now only operates the fan and lights, no noise or screen activity.
Is there any hope for this machine? It is an EPOX EP-8K7A+ w/raid, using Micron DDR ram and an Athlon Duron 1 GIG at stock speeds. Something about this sounded familiar so I thought I would try the massive brain trust here.
I did try search, but couldn't get much of anywhere. BTW, it is an AWARD Bios.
Much Thanks, have to go to bed, will check in afternoon after work.

Try properly clearing the CMOS, Even remove the Batt if you have too. Then set the jumper correctly and try to boot. Its also possible its a coincedence and you should look for other culprits.

the chances of ruining a mobo by screwing with that jumper are low, i have done it on a couple mobos, no deaths.

my computer is so fast, it completes an endless loop in less than 4 seconds!
