How to Build a PC guide?!

I'm fairly well educated on how to pick hardware, but I'm not too confident on how to get it all up and running. I'm sure there's a preferred order of doing things and I really have no clue when it comes to Bios settings, CMOS (don't even know what it is), and loading software and drivers. Also, I really don't want to screw something up like installing the HSF! Anyone know of some good guides online or otherwise that really break this process down step by step? I've tried searching, but haven't found anything really detailed.

Thanks!

Still writing mine... ;-)

(every time I finish a bit I realise I left something out, if I EVER finish it will make the yellow pages look like a pamphlet)

no-one shouts louder than someone who is being ignored, or in the case of techies, to be heard over the noise of their PC's ;-)

Thanks, the THG guide isn't even written by THG, it was submitted by a reader and isn't very thorough. These last two sites look pretty good though. Any others out there?
