Problems

Happy new year everyone.

I just built a system for a friend and its giving me a few problems. Sometimes when I reboot or even do a cold boot the monitor will not recieve a signal anymore and I wont have a display. This usually occurs when I have a usb ethernet card plugged in. When I shutdown [by holding down the power button] and unplug it and do a cold boot it works again. Anyone know how to fix this problem? Do I need to disable the onboard video?[if so, how?]. System Specs:

Asus A7N266-VM
Athlon XP 1800+
IBM 40Gb 60GXP
Radeon 8500LE
Antec 330W PSU

Thanks in advance.

Definately disable the onboard. Look for a jumper or a setting in the bios. I guess its possible sometimes the computer boots to one card and not the other. Next time you get a dead screen try plugging the monitor into the onboard and see if it comes up.
