Fastest Scanners for books & ADF

I have knowledge that HP ScanJet 7450 was a good compromise in terms
Performance/price for turning books and papers into electronic
form (OCR).
-It was relatively fast
-It had an ADF
-It had a legal size format

But it is now discontinued. HP suggests to move to the new 8200
series.

Is someone able to compare the HP 8250 with a 7450 model in terms of
speed and reliability? Which is the fastest? and what are the pros and
cons of the two?

Is there available other good alternatives for this sort of
work?
