I know that probably nobody will believe me when I say this, but I will preface it with....I bought the game back in 2000 Starcraft....I just found my cd in an old computer box....I have had three computers since and have no idea where my orig case with the cd-key is. Therefore....does anyone have an idea how someone can locate their old key without having to pay the $10.00 to blizzard.

Look, you lost part of what you bought (the sofware and the CD-key). Do you really think $10 is too much for retrieving that? It is not their fault you lost it. Proving to Blizzard that you bought the original in 2000 will cost you probably more than those $10.
