Crash?

So I have Windows 7 (x64) and seems to be crashing on me lately. This only started when my old motherboard fried and I got my new one. I decided to reinstall Windows just in case it was a driver issue but it doesn't seem to be as it is still doing it. What happens is that if there is sound going, the sound will just turn into crackling noises and then everything freezes. Every once and a while it will freeze 2 minutes after boot before I set up so there would be any sound.
