Hi,

I'm not a gamer, but I use the pc for digital audio creation. I need to buy a new system badly, and It seems that gaming companies might be the way to go. I want to build the fastest machine I can for around 1500 bucks..Anybody got any good suggestions on a good company to go with? I like cyberpowerpc's prices but have heard bad things...looking to get something like a q9450..

I think a gaming pc would be a waste of cash for you. If you're not going to play games, your expensive gpu(s) will be of little benefit and will eat electricity.

With the money saved, you could buy more useful components (more ram, bigger/faster hdd/cpu better mobo etc).

You could just get a run of the mill PC with decent expansion slots, then drop in the sound card of your choice.

Just get a PC with cheap video, high end CPU and lots of ram. Then research sound cards and get one that suits your needs. I would recommend avoiding creative labs if possible. They tend to have some of the better features but they dramatically overcharge for them and they have some of the worst customer/driver support in the industry.
