this in reference to the recent review of the cpu adapter allowing socket 370 processors on the slot 1 440bx mobos. I have a sweet old game server, with the 440gx chipset, 2gb ram, 2 700mhz cpus, and a raft of scsi harddrives...
Is the 440gx board similar enough for use with this cpu adapter?

Most GX boards were Slot2, for the XEON. There might have been some PIII server boards with it that I'm not aware of however. If it's Slot1, it will work, but if it's Slot2 it won't. I'm selling an IP3/T by the way.

this is a l440gx, which i have found will work, with tweaking.... however, it wont accept the celerons. it requires bios retrogrades to do it, and a hack to get around the cpu speed reporting, as well as cooling mods, as the slots are very close together.... not sureits worth doing, now that i have studied it...
