Screen goes black on inspiron mini after logging in with Windows 7 starter

Hello,
Just recently my screen began going black after I would enter my password and hit enter. The welcome would show up but when the screen should appear it goes black and you can only see the mouse pointer. The only way I can use the laptop is in safe mode. please help someone....getting frustrated.

If the rig still have warranty RAM to DELL and they should solve the problem.
