if you followed the link you can see that he is using the stock HSF, and 3.5 at stock HSF is nice, granted 1500 seems kinda a lot for a used pc, but hell thats with a slied 280, which should be able to push out some good numbers.

although the cards do seems to be powered by molex to PCIE converters, maybe he skipped on the PSU lol
