Review by Kevin Parrish

Nintendo's new phenomenon Wii Fit is supposed to encourage people to exercise by combining games with physical interaction, courtesy of the nifty Balance Board. Can Nintendo actually make exercising fun?

What I want to know is when will the porn industry make a Wiisturbate game? The Wii controller is perfect for this ;-)

On a serious note, people need to get out and exercise and eat properly instead of searching for the next gimmick for fitness. Purely as a set of games it looks like fun though (but I bet the board wouldn't take my weight)...

its just a way of doing it privately, so that you don't get pumped up assholes in a gym telling you to "get fit" even when you are trying to....

The labels and BMI thing are very Japanese. The concept doesn't come over well culturally. The Japanese get away with being a lot ruder and more insulting when it comes to physical fitness. This game probably could have used more care in the localization.

I'm considering picking this up, but my current schedule at work is ... crazy. I work 12 hour days and work Sun, Mon, Thu, Fri one week and Tues, Wed, Sat the next. This makes getting into any sort of routine, much less an exercise routine, very difficult and on my days off I am so worn down from my lack of sleep and long hours that I am inclined to just vegitate. I really need to get a different job, or at least a different schedule.

I'd love to start biking/walking to work again but I dislocated my knee over Easter and my scan's not for a while yet.

I miss my free exercise and my weight (pronounced "beer gut" ) seems to change massively week to week!
