Review by Travis Meacham.

Bringing to close the longest and perhaps most convoluted story in gaming, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots prefers cinematics to gameplay. The result is an excellent game that you spend a great deal of time not playing.

I enjoyed it a lot although found some of the cut scenes to go overboard. Even then though I generally had almost no issue watching them, and skipping them is always possible, it was still annoying in the sense that if you did skip them, it is possible you'd miss part of the story. I've only played Metal Gear Online once in Deathmatch and it seemed fine, although nothing particularly groundbreaking. Perhaps some of the other modes offer a more compelling multiplayer experience.

I remember playing it on the NES when it was just called Metal Gear. The game was very hard for your standard 8-bit NES title. I haven't played any of them since.
