Wireless Routers

Hi

I have a 54G wireless notebook with a LinkSys 54G wireless router. I'm
moving from my APT to a house where I'm renting out the basement which was
remodeled into a 1 bedroom apartment. I was wondering will it still be OK
to have the router setup in the basement, verses say the mid center point in
the house which would be the first floor? Sometimes I might be upstairs
using my notebook or sometimes I might be outside in the back or front yard
using it. Will I still get coverage being that the router is in the
basement verses other floors in the house?
