Greetings,
My HP LJ3 has come up with a "50 Service" error. I know this
is a fuser failure. I replaced a triac on an LJ2 to fix this
problem years ago, but have no idea where the documents are now.
Does anybody happen to have a pointer to detailed instructions
for that procedure? I googled the problem and came up with
a bunch of pages didn't get specific.

Try use of Google Groups, the newsgroup archives.

Search terms suggested :

"50 service triac laserjet" or "50 service laserjet triac replace"

I got fairly close on the first dry run of this search.
