Bluetooth keyboard and the ASUS A7V266-E

I just purchased the new Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard (USB connection). Problem: the system will not boot up because it is looking for a PS/2 mouse. Can the keyboard/mouse validation test be disabled in the bios or dip switch? Any thoughts on how I can get around this problem?
